75% Reduction in Load Speed

A Colorado Springs HVAC company was running Google Ads and spending roughly $1,800/month driving traffic to their homepage — but their conversion rate was sitting at 1.2%. When we audited the site, the page was loading in 8.4 seconds on mobile. The culprit: eight uncompressed hero images averaging 4MB each, three render-blocking Google Fonts calls in the <head>, no lazy loading, and a Divi page builder generating over 340KB of CSS that fired on every page load regardless of whether it was used.

We compressed and converted all images to WebP, implemented lazy loading, deferred all non-critical JavaScript, replaced the bloated builder output with clean hand-written CSS, enabled browser caching, and moved assets to a CDN. We also eliminated two of the three font families entirely — they weren't part of any brand standard and had just accumulated over time.

Final load time: 1.9 seconds on mobile. Google's Core Web Vitals moved from all red to all green. The ad campaign didn't change. The budget didn't change. The audience didn't change.

Industry Insight: Google research shows that as page load time goes from 1s to 3s, bounce probability increases 32%. At 5 seconds, it's 90%. At 10 seconds, it's 123%. Every second costs money.

Conversion rate jumped from 1.2% to 4.1% in 30 days a 241% increase on the same ad spend.

Full Brand Refresh & Website Redesign

Website Redesign

Full Brand Refresh & Website Redesign

A family-owned roofing company with 22 years in business and 180+ five-star Google reviews was operating on a WordPress site built in 2016. The theme was last updated in 2019. The homepage had a pixelated logo, four stock photos of roofs that weren't theirs, a copyright year of 2021, and a contact form that silently failed to send emails. Their Google Business Profile was pristine. Their website was an embarrassment by comparison — and they knew it, but didn't know where to start.

We started with a full discovery session: brand values, ideal customer, services they wanted to grow (commercial roofing specifically), and what made them different (a crew of 14 full-time employees — no subcontracting). We built a new site from scratch: a dedicated commercial roofing landing page optimized for "commercial roofing Colorado Springs," a project gallery with 40 real before/after photos pulled from the owner's phone camera roll, a reviews section pulling live from Google, visible license and insurance information, and a clear above-the-fold CTA with a click-to-call button.

We also fixed the contact form, set up GA4 and GTM, and added LocalBusiness schema with correct NAP data that matched their GBP listing exactly.

Industry context: Stanford research found that 75% of users judge a company's credibility based on website design alone. A business with a gap between its real-world reputation and its web presence is leaving trust — and revenue — on the table.

Organic leads up 3x within 90 days. First commercial roofing inquiry within 11 days of launch. Owner described it as "the best money we've spent on marketing."

Local SEO Domination via City Landing Pages

Local SEO Domination via City Landing Pages

A plumbing company based in Colorado Springs was ranking well for their home city but pulling zero organic traffic from Pueblo, Monument, Fountain, or Security-Widefield — all markets they actively served and had crews driving to every week. Their site had one page that mentioned all these cities in a single sentence in the footer. That sentence was doing no SEO work.

We built eight dedicated city landing pages, each with unique content: local references, service-specific headings targeting that city by name, embedded Google Maps showing proximity, and testimonials from customers in that area pulled from their existing Google reviews. We also added a structured service area section to their homepage with schema markup and submitted updated sitemap files to Google Search Console.

Within four months, the company was appearing in the Map Pack for searches in three of the eight cities. Organic impressions across the full service area increased by 580%.

Industry context: BrightLocal data shows that 46% of all Google searches have local intent, and 78% of local mobile searches result in an offline purchase within 24 hours. Visibility in the right city at the right moment is everything for service businesses.

580% increase in organic impressions. Map Pack appearances in 3 new cities. Monthly lead volume up 67% with zero increase in ad spend.

E-Commerce Conversion Rate Overhaul

A locally owned outdoor gear and apparel retailer had built their online store on an aging WooCommerce installation with a theme from 2017. They were getting reasonable traffic from Instagram — around 1,400 visitors/month — but their e-commerce conversion rate was 0.6%, compared to the industry average of 2.5–3.5% for specialty retail. Cart abandonment was running at 84%.

We audited the checkout flow and found six friction points: no guest checkout option, three unnecessary form fields on the billing page, no trust badges near the "Place Order" button, product images loading at full resolution (averaging 6MB per image), no saved cart functionality, and a mobile checkout flow that required horizontal scrolling on iPhone.

We migrated their storefront to Shopify, enabled numerous additional payment methods, and optimized the site of Mobile users.

Industry context: Baymard Institute research shows the average cart abandonment rate is 70.19%. The top reasons: unexpected costs, forced account creation, and complicated checkout. Each friction point removed measurably increases revenue.

Conversion rate went from 0.6% to 2.8% — a 367% increase. Cart abandonment dropped from 84% to 61%. Monthly online revenue increased by 3.2x without changing traffic volume.

Security & Trust Overhaul

Security & Trust Overhaul

A residential painting company had been operating on HTTP (no SSL certificate) since their site launched in 2018. Chrome was displaying a "Not Secure" warning to every visitor before they even saw the homepage. On top of that, their contact form was collecting customer name, address, and job details and storing them in an unencrypted WordPress database with no backup. The WordPress core was three major versions out of date, two plugins had known CVEs (publicly documented vulnerabilities), and the admin login was accessible at the default /wp-admin URL with no two-factor authentication.

We migrated the site to HTTPS, installed and configured an SSL certificate, updated WordPress core and all plugins, implemented two-factor authentication on the admin account, moved the login URL to a non-default path, set up automated daily encrypted backups to an offsite location, added a security header stack (CSP, X-Frame-Options, HSTS), and replaced the form-to-database flow with a form-to-email system using a transactional email provider.

We also added visible trust signals to the homepage: the padlock, a "Secure Site" badge, and a short privacy statement near the contact form.

Industry context: Google has used HTTPS as a ranking signal since 2014. A 2022 HubSpot study found that 85% of users will abandon a purchase if they see a "Not Secure" warning. For service businesses collecting customer info, this is a liability and a conversion killer simultaneously.

Bounce rate dropped 22% in the first month after HTTPS migration. Contact form submissions increased 31% — attributed to the removal of the "Not Secure" browser warning that had been greeting every visitor.

ADA Compliance & Accessibility Remediation

Accessibility & Compliance

ADA Compliance & Accessibility Remediation

A well-established pest control company with two locations came to us after receiving a demand letter from an accessibility-focused law firm — a form of litigation that has increased dramatically since the ADA was extended to cover websites in 2018 federal court rulings. Their site had no alt text on any of its 34 images, insufficient color contrast throughout (light gray text on white backgrounds reading at a 2.1:1 ratio against the WCAG minimum of 4.5:1), no skip-navigation link, form inputs with no associated labels, and keyboard navigation that was completely non-functional.

We conducted a full WCAG 2.1 AA audit, remediated every violation found, rewrote all image alt text to be descriptive and contextual rather than keyword-stuffed, rebuilt the color scheme to pass contrast requirements while maintaining brand colors, added ARIA labels throughout, implemented full keyboard navigation, and added a publicly visible accessibility statement page.

We also added an ongoing monitoring integration that flags new violations if they're introduced during future content updates.

Industry context: Over 4,000 ADA web accessibility lawsuits were filed in 2023 alone, up from under 500 in 2017. Beyond legal exposure, an estimated 26% of US adults have some form of disability — an inaccessible site is actively excluding roughly one in four potential customers.

Demand letter resolved without litigation. Site achieved WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. Organic traffic increased 11% — partially attributed to improved semantic HTML structure, which search engines also reward.

Analytics & Tracking Implementation

Conversion Tracking

Analytics & Tracking Implementation

A mid-sized landscaping company had been running $2,400/month in Google Ads for 14 months with no conversion tracking in place. Zero. Their agency was reporting on clicks and impressions but had never configured a single conversion event. They had no idea which campaigns were generating phone calls, which keywords were producing form submissions, or which landing pages were dead ends. They were flying completely blind and paying for the privilege.

We installed GA4 and Google Tag Manager, configured call tracking with dynamic number insertion so every traffic source got a unique trackable phone number, set up form submission events as GA4 conversions, built a custom dashboard in Looker Studio showing cost-per-lead by campaign and keyword, connected Google Ads to GA4 for closed-loop reporting, and added a Meta Pixel for retargeting.

Within 60 days of having real data, the client paused two campaigns that had generated zero conversions despite consuming 38% of their budget, and reallocated that spend to two campaigns that were producing leads at $18/each.

Industry context: Google reports that businesses using conversion tracking see 20–30% better ad performance on average — because the algorithm can optimize toward actual results rather than clicks. Not tracking conversions is the most expensive mistake in digital advertising.

Cost per lead dropped from unmeasurable to $18 average. Two zero-ROI campaigns identified and paused, freeing $912/month. Lead volume increased 44% on the same total budget.

Content Strategy & SEO Authority Build

A foundation repair company was ranking on page one for their brand name and nothing else. They had no blog, no FAQ page, no educational content — just a five-page site with a homepage, a services page, an about page, a gallery of cracked walls, and a contact form. Their competitors were ranking for "foundation repair cost Colorado Springs," "how to tell if your foundation is failing," "pier vs. beam foundation repair," and dozens of other high-intent informational searches that the client's site was completely invisible for.

We built a content strategy targeting 40 keywords across three stages of the buyer journey: awareness ("signs of foundation problems"), consideration ("foundation repair methods compared"), and decision ("foundation repair Colorado Springs cost and reviews"). We published two articles per month, each 1,200–2,000 words with schema markup, internal linking, and optimized meta data. We also built a comprehensive FAQ page targeting featured snippet positions, and restructured the services page into four individual service pages with dedicated URLs.

By month eight, the site had 22 first-page rankings it hadn't held before, and the blog was generating 480 organic sessions per month from people actively researching foundation problems.

Industry context: Businesses that blog generate 67% more leads per month than those that don't, per HubSpot. For high-consideration, high-ticket services like foundation repair, educational content is the most cost-effective lead generation channel available.

22 new first-page keyword rankings within 8 months. Organic traffic up 312%. Blog-sourced leads averaging 6 per month at zero ad cost.

Mobile-First Rebuild for a Trades Business

Mobile Optimization

Mobile-First Rebuild for a Trades Business

A fence installation company had a desktop site that looked reasonable — reasonable enough that the owner had never felt urgency to change it. What he didn't know was that 71% of his traffic was arriving on mobile devices, and those visitors were encountering a site where the navigation menu overflowed off screen, the phone number in the header was an image (not a tap-to-call link), the quote request form had twelve fields and required typing on a phone keyboard, and the photo gallery rendered as a three-column grid with images so small they were unviewable on a 6-inch screen.

His mobile bounce rate was 79%. His desktop bounce rate was 38%.

We rebuilt the site mobile-first: a sticky header with a single large tap-to-call button, a simplified quote form reduced to four fields (name, phone, service type, zip code), a full-screen swipeable photo gallery, large readable typography, and touch-friendly navigation. Desktop was then adapted from the mobile layout rather than the other way around.

Industry context: Google moved to mobile-first indexing in 2019, meaning the mobile version of your site is what Google evaluates for ranking — not the desktop version. A site that looks fine on a laptop but breaks on a phone is being penalized in search rankings whether the owner knows it or not.

Mobile bounce rate dropped from 79% to 34%. Mobile form submissions up 5.2x. Overall lead volume increased 89% within 60 days of launch.

Reputation Integration & Social Proof Engine

Reputation Integration & Social Proof Engine

A residential cleaning company had accumulated 214 Google reviews with a 4.9-star average over six years — genuinely impressive social proof that essentially no potential customer ever saw. Their website had a "Testimonials" page with six hand-typed quotes and no dates, no names, no photos, and no way to verify any of them. Their Google reviews, their Yelp page, and their Facebook recommendations existed in a completely separate world from their website and were doing no conversion work.

We integrated a live Google Reviews widget on the homepage showing real names, real photos, and real timestamps — updated automatically as new reviews came in. We added a reviews schema block so star ratings appeared directly in Google search results as rich snippets. We built a "Why Choose Us" section featuring real statistics pulled from their review data: average response time, rebooking rate, years in business, and total verified reviews. We added a before/after cleaning gallery sourced from photos their team had already been taking and posting to Instagram. We also set up a post-service review request automation via SMS that increased their review velocity from two per month to fourteen per month.

Industry context: BrightLocal's 2024 Consumer Review Survey found that 98% of consumers read online reviews for local businesses, and 46% say they trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations. Reviews that live only on Google are doing half the work they could be doing if integrated directly into the conversion path.

Homepage conversion rate increased 58%. Star ratings now visible in Google search results. Review velocity up 7x. Bookings increased 34% in the first 90 days with no change to ad spend or pricin

Conversational Form Redesign for a Nationwide Restorative Health Brand

Lead Form Optimization

Conversational Form Redesign for a Nationwide Restorative Health Brand

A nationwide restorative health company operating clinics across multiple states was generating solid top-of-funnel traffic through a combination of SEO, paid search, and social — but their new patient inquiry form was quietly hemorrhaging leads at the point of conversion. On paper, the form existed and functioned. No broken fields, no failed submissions, no technical errors. The problem was subtler and more damaging: the form itself was the obstacle.

The original intake form had 14 fields presented as a wall of inputs on a single page. It opened cold — the very first field asked for full legal name and date of birth before the visitor had been asked a single question about what they were looking for or why they'd come. The field order followed internal clinic logic (the order in which staff processed paperwork) rather than customer psychology. It felt like filling out intake paperwork in a waiting room, not like reaching out to a health provider for help. For someone researching a sensitive restorative health treatment — often for the first time, often with some hesitation — that experience was enough to close the tab.

Analytics told the story clearly once we looked: the form had a 68% abandonment rate. Of the people who did complete it, booking conversion was running at roughly 31%. The traffic wasn't the problem. The form was the problem.

We started with a full audit of the abandonment data, including field-level drop-off analysis using heatmap and session recording tools. The steepest abandonment — 41% of all form starters — happened within the first three fields. People were being asked to commit personal identifying information before they'd been given any reason to trust the process. A secondary drop-off spike occurred at field nine, which asked for insurance details: a question that many visitors simply didn't have the answer to on hand, and one that wasn't necessary to initiate the inquiry at all.

The redesign was built around a single principle: earn the next answer before you ask for it. We converted the static form into a conversational multi-step flow that began with low-commitment, easy questions about the visitor's goals and interests — questions that also served to make the visitor feel understood rather than processed. By the time the form reached contact information fields, the visitor had already invested three or four answers and had received micro-validations ("Great — we have clinics that specialize in exactly that") that built confidence in the interaction.

Specific changes made:

  • Reduced total fields from 14 to 7. Insurance information, secondary phone, preferred contact time, and referring physician fields were removed from the initial inquiry form entirely and moved to a post-booking intake flow handled by clinic staff.
  • Reordered the field sequence to open with goal-oriented questions ("What brings you in?" / "Which area are you looking to address?") before any personal identification fields.
  • Split the single-page wall into a 4-step conversational flow with a visible progress indicator, so visitors always knew how close they were to being done.
  • Replaced clinical language with plain conversational language throughout. "Primary presenting complaint" became "What's the main thing you'd like to work on?" Field labels that read like medical forms were rewritten to read like a friendly intake conversation.
  • Added contextual reassurance copy adjacent to the contact fields — a single line explaining what would happen next and when the visitor could expect to hear back — which addressed the most common hesitation at the personal information stage.
  • Made the final CTA specific rather than generic. "Submit" became "Request My Free Consultation," which framed the completion as a benefit rather than a form submission.

The changes required zero additional traffic, zero increase in ad spend, and no changes to the clinic's services, pricing, or follow-up process. Every improvement in outcome came entirely from reducing the friction between an interested visitor and a completed inquiry.

Industry context: A landmark study by Marketo found that reducing form fields from 11 to 4 increased conversions by 120%. Formstack data shows that multi-step forms convert at 86% higher rates than single-page forms for high-consideration services. For health and wellness businesses specifically — where the visitor is often navigating a personal or sensitive decision — the emotional temperature of the form experience directly determines whether they complete it. A form that feels like paperwork repels. A form that feels like a conversation converts.

Lead volume increased 35%. Booking rate increased 15%. Form abandonment dropped from 68% to 39%. Annualized, the increase in completed bookings represented significant revenue growth across the clinic network — driven entirely by changing the order of the questions and reducing how many were asked.
